Coincidences

So yesterday I decided to fuck around with the settings on here, and changed a few things up. One thing I changed was my display pic to that Johnny Cash one where he's giving every single asshole in the world the middle finger.
Later in the day Steve-o and I went down to the mall cuz I had to pick up some stuff, and naturally I had to hit the CD store. I was actually looking for the new Phonics live album, but the new Tom Wilson one caught my eye. So I flipped the thing over, and wouldn't ya know who was staring back at me?

Johnny Fucking Cash - giving me the finger.

So I mentioned it to Steve and he thought that was pretty strange too.
But the weirdest part of all was the next day my alarm clock went off, and the first song I heard for the day was a fucking Tom Wilson song!

In the end I picked up the Steve Earle & The Dukes album "Shut Up And Die Like An Aviator" and I can't listen to the damn thing enough. I think I'm on my 7th full listen at this very moment.

Sleepin' all day, stayin' up all night

At long last I have some time off.

In the past week I've probably put in about 50 hours of studying for my Physiology final, and despite that ammount of work I bet I got screwed on the exam.
I wrote that fucker at 9 a.m. today, then came home and slept for 6 hours. And oddly enough, I'm still pretty tired right now.
But I've got a week off until my next exam, so I can slack off a bit.

So let's see what's new lately...

I saw Matt Good two weekends ago with my bro and old man. Ryan and I actually did a double header - one show at Brock, then another down here in London. Our dad only joined us for the latter. It was a pretty solid weekend, and I'll post about it in detail later. First I gotta figure out how to use this fucking YouTube thing for videos, it's more confusing than it seems. I got afew decent pics too.

After the Brock show Ryan and I went to the "Pants Party" that all of our buddies were at. It was pretty fun actually, despite the fact that we were still in our jeans from the show. We got shitfaced and had a good time; it was good to see all the boys (and girls) again.

Ryan always finds a way to ruin pictures...

Back on April fools day we worked out a scheme to put a shitload of golfish in the bathtub of the girls downstairs. It worked out perfectly and they weren't too happy with the fact that the fish shit like crazy in the tub. So they emptied it out, and that night us boys had the bright idea to eat the fish while we were drinking. Naturally I didn't partake in that idiocy, but probably half a dozen guys were eating the little buggers. I think Kozzy ate about 8 fish in all. He was tossing them up in the air and downing them as soon as they hit his mouth. Funny shit.

If you look closely there's a fish at the top of the frame

The next day the girls brought the remaining fish up into our house and left them all over the place in little white cups, just to piss us off. So we sent a bunch to the sewers, gave a few away to friends, and kept a few in some liquor bottles upstairs. And wouldn't ya know it, just the other day (on the 12th I think) I found a cup in our freezer room with a fish in it. I figured he was long dead since he hadn't been fed in a week and a half, but he was alive! I felt terrible for him, so I put him in a liquor bottle upstairs and gave him some food. But he couldn't figure out that food actually comes from the surface of the water (I guess he got accustomed to eating his own shit off the bottom of the cup). So I shook the food to the bottom for him and he ate for hours.
Steve and I named him "Jesus" due to his miraculous survival, but wouldn't ya fucking know it, good friday rolls around.... and he fucking died!! Steve says he's bound to come back to life, but personally I'm not holding my breath.
Today his cell-mate Douglas died, so only Keith (the biggest of them all) remains alive for us to gawk at and feed infrequently.

I've been listening to alot of Steve Earle lately for some reason (in both LP and mp3 format). If you don't know his stuff, he used to be all country, but now he's kinda rock-country. He's played with tons of different people and has alot of good songs under his belt. I'm listening to alot of his old shit along with the few songs that he plays with The Pogues, Lucinda Williams, and Sheryl Crow. It's also really amazing how his voice has changed since his carrer started. And you gotta respect that patented "huh!" he always puts into his tunes.

Mather's bugging me to do somehting - i.e. go out boozing.
So I must be off for now.
