A whole year and she hasn't scratched my eyes out yet... she's a keeper

So I'm finally back online. Fuck I hate not having the internet...
We've finally settled into the new place, right next door to our favourite bar, the Ceeps. This year Mikevis, Mather and I are living with 3 rando's - Afrodite, Karelle, and Tom.
So far everyone's getting along fine, and I think we should be cool for the rest of the yea by the look of things.

School has started with a roar this year, despite I've only got two "tough" courses. But I've already got assignments and essays due soon, and I haven't even bought all of my books yet.

I start my work-study job tomorrow in The Biotron, which is a brand new high-tech research lab designed to test the ramifications of global warming on all sorts of environments and organisms. I'll be setting up and developing protocols for the latest cutting-edge microscopes - SEM's, TEM's, and confocals apparently. My boss seems pretty cool, so I don't think it's going to be particularly tough or stressful work, but it might be a little tedious and boring. But hopefully I'll get some practical skills to help me get a job after I fail miserably in my attempt to get into a masters program.
Failing that I'll probably join Bender and Steve out West just to make some cash ands have some fun for a while.

Frosh week wasn't nearly as drunken as previous years, but I guess that's to be expected. Surprisingly I haven't busted out the camera once since moving into the new place over two weeks ago. That's pretty odd for me.

In other news, I just reached the 1-year mark with the wife. That's quite a feat, considering everyone we know was betting we wouldn't last two months together. She's been surprisingly tolerant of all my bullshit, and I gotta give her tons of credit for that.
She's been busy as hell working two jobs back in her hometown, so it was good to see her. And this weekend we've got a wedding down there too, not to mention it's her birthday.
All of these things are putting me in the poor house... oh well

I've got a massive list of things to get done, and class starts soon. So I'd best be off.
