Runnin down the road tryin to loosen my load, I got 20 women on my mind. 10 that wanna stone me, 10 that wanna bone me, most of em are friends of mine

A couple weeks ago I was awakened in the morning not by my alarm clock, but by a dream of a girl. A girl I hadn't dreamed of in a long time, and I have no idea why she popped into my mind that night.

But since then I've been doing some thinking about all the girls in my life. Those that have come and gone, and those that are still in my life.

And the more I think about it, the more I realize that every single one of them sees me in a different light. I suppose the same can be said about all of the people I know, cuz even the smallest action or first impression can forver change the way someone sees you.

But in all fairness, I do some of the stupidest things with girls. It's not often that I'd send a guy a ridiculous drunken email at 3 a.m. (I'm sure I have, but it wouldn't have the same content.... if ya know what i mean. hahaha).
On the same token, I do some of the nicest things for girls, and I know they really appreciate it. Again, things that I wouldn't do for a buddy of mine.

So it's hardly any wonder that some girls see me as an amazing gentleman, and some see me as a comple fucking idiot.

Some harldy know me and think I hung the moon.
Some know me well and think I'm an unitelligent fuckup.
Some have been complete bitches to me, and I can't help but love them.
Some have been amazing to me, but I don't give them the time of day.
Sometimes I make an ass of myself and girls think it's charming.
Sometimes I go out of my way to be a great guy, and girls couldn't care less.

And vice versa for every one of those I just listed.

From all the angles, I find it hard to get a grasp on where I actually fall, though it's undoubtedly in between the extremes. But that begs the question of which girl actually sees me for who I really am. And maybe the answer is... noone at all.
I could be wrong, but it might just be a girl I've yet to meet. My future wife or something like that.

Anyway, I don't know where I was heading with this, it was just something on my mind.

I fucking knew it

You've head of Nostradamus, right?
Introducing *bum-ba-da-dum* --- Nostramintvis!

I knew this summer was gonna be shite at work.

I took a day off last week for my bro's grad down in St Kitter's, and I came back friday only to find that 2 guys from our 5-man crew got fired the day I was gone. Now, the one deserved it cuz he was too lazy for my boss to handle, but I think the other guy just got caught in the crossfire.

His name was Greg, and he was an awesome guy to work with. Always willing to lend a hand if anyone needed it, always friendly (even to people who were being complete pricks), and always easy to talk to about anything.

He could do far more at work than I could hope to do, and I think the boss even realizes it was a mistake to have fired him. He was a definite asset, but now we're pretty fucked.

We just got a new guy today, but he has no experience at all with the kind of stuff we do, so I'm gonna have to be a teacher to a guy whos twice my age cuz the other two know-it-all about the biz, and generally aren't the greatest mentors. It's also kinda weird to be the "superior" to a guy of that age. And the other two guys I work with are probably 50, so it really sucked that my two former co-workers got fired, cuz they were closer to my age. Now it's me and three old dudes.

Wicked

I can harldy wait to work extra hard now that I'm the only one with youthful energy.
Though I'm not exactly a ball of electricity to begin with.

So fuck. We'll see how it goes I guess.

There's a reason that I hate this town...

I've just finished my 2nd week of work back at the old construction job, and it's as if I never left for 8 months, besides the fact that we're down one man. So now we've got a 5-man crew for the summer.

I wanted to stay down in London for the summer, but nothing came together for a lab job or anything like that, so I'm home til September again. Hopefully next year I'll find something that pays well and gets me on the road to a career, something like what my bro has found for now. He's doing an internship with the Blue Jays down in Toronto, and the idiot commutes 2.5 hrs each way everyday, sometimes even on the weekends too. But it's wicked that he got in with them, and hopefully a full-time job results. Failing that, he's still got an awesome stat for his resume.

Plus he can get free tix to games, which is dynamite. I've already been to two games, and already caught me a foul ball! "Mint that shit", I say.

I'm kinda worried that this summer won't be nearly as good as last. I had an awesome time at work, learning new shit all the time, and partying like mad on the weekends with concerts and trips and boozing.
But I fear that now I've learned most of what I need to know at work, and I'll get bored soon. I'm always interested in jobs until I learn everything, then I want to get the fuck out of the place. Shit, a few summers back I was running a machine the size of a garage in my 2nd week on the job at a factory - one my fucking own. There were 8 guys for 4 machines, and they gave me one to control all by my lonesome.

Never work in a factory children, it's bullshit.

And it looks like the concert listing this summer is BS compared to last year too. Plus I already missed getting tix for Hillside this year, they sold out with shitty bands cuz there was so much attention drawn by the ridiculous talent they had there last summer. Fucking bastards.

But at least the summer should go quick. I've been running around non-stop for the last month, and it flew by fast. And with all the shit I've got planned for weekends coming up, I know the rest of the summer will be gone before I know it.

That's probably a good thing, since I hate this fucking town.
It's all the little things about the city, the people, and my parents' place that really annoy me.

Apparently thug life has taken over the youth around here, and you should see the fuckin jokes wandering the streets that used to be in highschool when I was there. Literally dozens and dozens of losers that I wouldn't want to talk to in a million goddamn years, and they all think they're the king shit of this town. The one-horse town that it is...

It took a night of drinking downtown to remind me just how much I want to leave here. Some might say I'm an elitist now that I'm a Western kid, and I think I'm to good for this town. But the truth is, I'm the kind of person who outgrows things when they need to be grown out of.

This town is full of more hicks than you'd think - the type of gay-bashing, Nascar-watching, mullet-sporting, gun-toting, unintelligent fuckups that are the proverbial skidmark on the underpants of society.

It's all well and good when you're a kid and don't know any better or notice. But once you've seen what's out there in the world, certain places feel like cages.

If someone could please open the door and let me out, that would be phenomenal.

Paradise Lost

So I'm sitting here in my room feasting on a muffin that I stole from a buffet that seems about a million miles away from my hometown, and I'm struggling to find a way to write about the past week.
It already seems like it's been a month since I was lying on the beach with a drink in my hand, just wondering how I was going to waste the day away.

There's no point in trying to run down each day on its own, cuz all the days and nights blur together due to the massive amount of booze we drank. So I'll just do my best to get the main points across before I forget them forever.

Our possie consisted of myself, my bro Ryan, his girlfriend Angela (aka Mangela), Calder (aka Jeff), Thompson (aka Thompo or Adam), and DeVreede (aka Mark, Devreedo, Cool Ranch, etc. etc.). So that makes 6 of us, and we had 3 rooms total: my bro and Mang in one with a king bed, and then 2 rooms with 2 single beds apiece, with Calder and I as roomies in one, and Thompo with Devreede in the last one.

I'll start out by saying that all sexual exploits will be excluded from this post. It's not my place to speak for other people on the trip, and frankly if I wanna tell someone what I did personally, I'll go out of my way to let them know.

The resort we went to down in the Dominican was called "Bahia Principe", and the fucker was huge. There had to be 130 or so buildings and over 900 rooms for guests. We all had our rooms in one building which was sweet, but they stuck us in the back corner of the resort, which was pretty shitty. The beach was only a few hundred metres away, so that wasn't a big deal, but it did take awhile to get to a bar/get food/stumble home drunkenly at 3 a.m.

The beach itself was probably a kilometer long, and we'd wander back and forth during the days, constantly stopping at the neaest bar for more booze. There was a pool right by the lobby that had a swim-up bar, which was pretty sweet to hang out at during the days. It seemed that our end of the beach was a bredding ground or something for fat old people, most of whom wandered around topless or dans-le-speedo. Pretty sick shit, so we tried to avoid that area the best we could.

Calder and I had a great idea early in the trip - as we wandered the bars, we frequently stopped by our room to fill up bottles with our fovourite -- the double-rum and coke. So by the end of each night we had a few litres of booze just waiting for us in our room.

Cladski and I musta drank a 26er of rum a day, no word of a lie. And that's a 26er apiece, not to share. Granted, the one day we probably each drank a 40, but that put me out of commission for the following night of drinking. The boys of 291 Central would be damn proud of me on this trip, since I could never seem to get drunk this entire year down at school. At least not sloppy drunk, and trust me... I was sloppy in the Dominican.

So sloppy, in fact, that the day of the 40 being consumed, I stumbled home to my bro's room, hammered on the door for awhile until he was good and livid, and then took off for "The Newfies'" room at the other side of the resort. Once I got there, I found out that the otehr boys didnt head back to that room, so I proptly passed out on the ground right outside of their room. (A few days later I learned that more than a few people were calling me "that guy" who passed out on the bare tile for awhile). Upon awkening on the ground, I wandered into a staff only area, and security was called to escort me home after I insisted that I knew the way back to my room. Apparently I was mistaken.

On our 4th night, we made friends with a whole group of girls from good ol' Canada and had a big game of kings. This run-in led to an unprecidendented level of dancing in my life. For the following 4 nights, I musta been on the dancefloor for about 7 hours all told. I bet my lifelong total before that was about 4 hours total, so it was pretty strange to be busting out moves for a long time like that. During the days we all came up with ridiculous moves to try out teh following evening. Some examples included The Sprinkler, Eating Spaghetti, The Bisschop, and my personal favourite - the Lawnmower (which is basically the motion you use when yanking on the cord to start up a lawnmower or outboard motor). All of this was embarassing as fuck, and quite difficult to pull off with two drinks in your hands, but we didn't care cuz who the fuck was gonna call us on it later? Nobody, that's who!

For the following days we hung out with the girls, went kayaking in the ocean, and even went on a snorkelling trip with the 3 girls who were from Oshawa - Katie, Kayla, and Beth. This trip actually took place on our last full day on the resort, and we had an awesome time of it. We started out on a long boatride into a littel tawn and stopped there for awhile.

Next we went to a coral reef to check out the fishes and such. It was definitely the coolest spot to snorkel, cuz there was such a variety of stuff to look at. Unfortunately I don't have any pics yet, as the underwater cameras are still getting processed.

We finished up with a spot that had a big school of "monkey fish" that would feast on bananas that we fed them. After that we headed to a ridiculously nice white-sand beach to chill for an hour or so. While we were there Calder and I defintely heard gunshots in the forest, but noone believed us. And this little Dominican girl came and played with us in the sand, throwing mud and splashing water at DeVreede to announce her arrival into our group. It was priceless watching her have a conversation with Calder, as he stood there with a stupid look on his face (not understanding a word she was saying). At the end of the trip we took this picture, which turned out pretty good if you ask me. (Clockwise from myself it goes: Calder, Thompo, Katie, Beth, Kayla, Mangela, Cool Ranch, Ryan, and back to Mintvis)

It reminds me of that movie "The Beach" when they all jump in the air for that photo.

We were too lazy to jump.

So then the last night we got so shitfaced that I was still drunk at noon when we got on our flight. It doesn't help that Thompo and I didn't get a single wink of sleep, but what can I say?
When in Rome...

I know there's a million things I forgot to mention, and a million things I'll forget far before I'd like to forget them, but such is life. We just might have to call up our girls from the Shwa and see if they wanna hang out sometime soon.

SHAZAAAAAAAAAM (for those of you in-the-know, well... you know what I mean by that)

Coincidences

So yesterday I decided to fuck around with the settings on here, and changed a few things up. One thing I changed was my display pic to that Johnny Cash one where he's giving every single asshole in the world the middle finger.
Later in the day Steve-o and I went down to the mall cuz I had to pick up some stuff, and naturally I had to hit the CD store. I was actually looking for the new Phonics live album, but the new Tom Wilson one caught my eye. So I flipped the thing over, and wouldn't ya know who was staring back at me?

Johnny Fucking Cash - giving me the finger.

So I mentioned it to Steve and he thought that was pretty strange too.
But the weirdest part of all was the next day my alarm clock went off, and the first song I heard for the day was a fucking Tom Wilson song!

In the end I picked up the Steve Earle & The Dukes album "Shut Up And Die Like An Aviator" and I can't listen to the damn thing enough. I think I'm on my 7th full listen at this very moment.

Sleepin' all day, stayin' up all night

At long last I have some time off.

In the past week I've probably put in about 50 hours of studying for my Physiology final, and despite that ammount of work I bet I got screwed on the exam.
I wrote that fucker at 9 a.m. today, then came home and slept for 6 hours. And oddly enough, I'm still pretty tired right now.
But I've got a week off until my next exam, so I can slack off a bit.

So let's see what's new lately...
Topic 1
I saw Matt Good two weekends ago with my bro and old man. Ryan and I actually did a double header - one show at Brock, then another down here in London. Our dad only joined us for the latter. It was a pretty solid weekend, and I'll post about it in detail later. First I gotta figure out how to use this fucking YouTube thing for videos, it's more confusing than it seems. I got afew decent pics too.

After the Brock show Ryan and I went to the "Pants Party" that all of our buddies were at. It was pretty fun actually, despite the fact that we were still in our jeans from the show. We got shitfaced and had a good time; it was good to see all the boys (and girls) again.

Ryan always finds a way to ruin pictures...

Topic 2
Back on April fools day we worked out a scheme to put a shitload of golfish in the bathtub of the girls downstairs. It worked out perfectly and they weren't too happy with the fact that the fish shit like crazy in the tub. So they emptied it out, and that night us boys had the bright idea to eat the fish while we were drinking. Naturally I didn't partake in that idiocy, but probably half a dozen guys were eating the little buggers. I think Kozzy ate about 8 fish in all. He was tossing them up in the air and downing them as soon as they hit his mouth. Funny shit.

If you look closely there's a fish at the top of the frame

The next day the girls brought the remaining fish up into our house and left them all over the place in little white cups, just to piss us off. So we sent a bunch to the sewers, gave a few away to friends, and kept a few in some liquor bottles upstairs. And wouldn't ya know it, just the other day (on the 12th I think) I found a cup in our freezer room with a fish in it. I figured he was long dead since he hadn't been fed in a week and a half, but he was alive! I felt terrible for him, so I put him in a liquor bottle upstairs and gave him some food. But he couldn't figure out that food actually comes from the surface of the water (I guess he got accustomed to eating his own shit off the bottom of the cup). So I shook the food to the bottom for him and he ate for hours.
Steve and I named him "Jesus" due to his miraculous survival, but wouldn't ya fucking know it, good friday rolls around.... and he fucking died!! Steve says he's bound to come back to life, but personally I'm not holding my breath.
Today his cell-mate Douglas died, so only Keith (the biggest of them all) remains alive for us to gawk at and feed infrequently.

Topic 3
I've been listening to alot of Steve Earle lately for some reason (in both LP and mp3 format). If you don't know his stuff, he used to be all country, but now he's kinda rock-country. He's played with tons of different people and has alot of good songs under his belt. I'm listening to alot of his old shit along with the few songs that he plays with The Pogues, Lucinda Williams, and Sheryl Crow. It's also really amazing how his voice has changed since his carrer started. And you gotta respect that patented "huh!" he always puts into his tunes.

Topic 4
Mather's bugging me to do somehting - i.e. go out boozing.
So I must be off for now.

the only thing worse than growin' up is never quite learnin' how

After many months of waiting, the Joel Plaskett Emergency's Make A Little Noise DVD has arrived. I picked it up the other day down at the ol' record shop, but I only got a chance to watch the DVD portion of it tonight. It also came with a mini-EP with 3 new tracks, all of which are pretty solid. Nowhere With You is the best of the set I'd say.

I've been waiting for this DVD to hit the shelves since I saw his solo concert last year with my bro and dad at Hugh's Room in Toronto. It's a pretty sweet little venue for solo acts and mellow shit. It was actually the second time we had seen him there, the previous show being a couple of years ago.

And I can't complain at all about the DVD either, it's pretty damn sweet. It's broken down into 3 sections, the first two being live tour footage, and the last section is all of his videos to date.

As it turns out, there's a few songs in the second live set that were recorded at Hugh's Room, but they were from the show he played the night before we saw him. And from what I remember the set he played the second night was better than the stuff that made it on the DVD. But whatever, it's still good.

It's cool to get all of his videos too, since Much Music has been a fucking disaster in the last decade. I've seen a couple of them before, but most of them were new to me. Ironically, I first heard about Plaskett on Much Music's Going Coastal show, so I can't complain too much. I remember the Maybe We Should Just Go Home video because I couldn't figure out how the hell they filmed the thing. There's a few shots where the camera seems to be floating above him and it kinda screws with your mind. There's also a few little bonus videos on the disc if you look around in the credits sections and stuff.

So if you haven't heard of the man, I highly recommend you check him out. You just might be the next life changed by Joel Plaskett.

He's got some catchy tunes and clever lyrics, especially if you've ever found yourself staring at your heart as it lies on the kitchen floor. The True Patriot Love video is something of a testament to that. He puts on an entertaining live show as well, and he's always there for the fans.

Can't wait for the next CD he puts out.

If you like it so much, fucking marry it

I recall a few years back sitting in my Chemistry classroom for TAG (that stupid thing that everyone had to go to a few times a week) and listening to this crazy girl talk to my chem teacher Mr. Killam.
This girl said the word "like" more fucking times in a conversation with Killam than I could even count. A few times I tried to make a tally chart, but once I got past 100 it got a little tiring.

As it turns out, this girl ended up being one of my best friends in highschool, but at the time I didn't know her at all.

I only bring this up because today in my Philosophy tutorial a girl was making a point to the class, and she said "like" just as many times as Lauren used to back in highschool. I counted 34 "likes" within a 2 minute stint, which is about 1 every 4 seconds.

I find it amazing that as intelligent as we are at this school, stupidity thrives. We're butchering the English language, and it's pretty annoying if you ask me. If you pay attention, you'll probably notice it too.

Like, anyway... that's like, all I wanted to like, say.

Somewhat ironic in the last few sentences...

chau·vin·ism n.

1. Prejudiced belief in the superiority of one's own gender, group, or kind

Notice that definition says nothing of men at all, but it's common to call guys chauvinists if they make any kind of statement or action that people consider offensive to women. So for the record, you gotta say "male chauvinist". It's also worth noting that the def'n of feminism makes no mention of females at all either.

Now, as some of you may know, I'm not a fan of hardcorefeministsts". And it's not because I'm a male chauv, though I've been called that in the past without legitimate justification. For example, last year I laughed my ass off when a female figure skater was dropped by her partner in a routine that I saw on TV. That might make me a complete prick, but it doesn't have any bearing on sexual superiority since I would've laughed just as hard if it was a man that fell. So when I was called a "chauvinist" it didn't mean much. The reason I don't like "feminists" is this: I'm more concerned with equality than which sex or gender has (or ought to have) more power in society.

There's no doubt in my mind that men have treated women unfairly for the lion's share of human history, and until recently there's never been much power given to women. In some senses that's to be expected, as men are generally larger than women, and can control them physically. This, in turn, lead to all sorts of inequalities and abuses of power in the world. Men saw women as lesser beings who deserved lesser rights, and created an establishment of government where men held all of the power. Women were thought to be less intelligent and less worthy of respect as well; just look at the presence (or lackthereof) of women in science prior ttheeh 1900s.

But many things have changed in the past century here in the West. Women were given the right to vote, bras were burned, glass ceilings have at least been raised somewhat, and women are generally accepted as being equally intelligent as men, if not smarter. Some people even think the world ought to be run by women, whicreallyly makes alot of sense. There'd be a hell of alot less war and hatred I bet, and more positive things in the world if that was the case. Then again, power corrupts whoever holds it, and women are no exception. Just look at fucking Condi Rice.

Regardless, the issue I wanna argue about is equality. A male chauv pisses me off just as much as a female chauv does. However, the M/C's influence and voice in society is somewhat more subtle than the F/C who screams at the top of her lungs. Maybe that's why the fem's get such a bad rap. While men exert their influence by maintaining stereotypes (like women belonging in the kitchen and pumping out kids, etc.) a fem's gotta go against the grain the get her point across. Subtlety does little to change the minds of ignorant people, and some dayeven ana shovel in the face won't help. I guess that holds true for alot of issues though...

Anyway, there's a few talking points I wanna hit about the rights of women, and expectations of men that we now have in society.

1) Sexual Harassment - stats show that the vast majority of women will be victims of sexual harassment at some point in their lives. No doubt this is shows a lack of respect and decency in the world, and it's something that should definitely be stopped. But how often do you hear of a man being harassed by a woman? Not very often, and there's a simple reason for it: men are expected to be the aggressors and women are expected to be the victims.
If a man walks by a female co-worker and slaps her on the ass, he could be looking at a lawsuit. But if a woman slaps a man's ass, nobody gives two shits. He would probably be laughed at if he took it to management.

2) Rape - the last point leads into this one for the same reasons. But there's a few things I bet ya didn't know about rape. For starters, some radical feminists claim that any intercourse between a man and a women is rape. (Sounds pretty fucking ridiculous to me, but some people actually believe it.)
Putting that aside, it's true that men are far, far more likely to commit rape than women are, but that shouldn't diminish how serious it can be for a man who's raped by a woman. Imagine, for example, the ugliest woman you can, and imagine being tied to a bed (or otherwisincapacitateded). If she's starts messing around downtown, there's not much a guy can do - willpower only goes so far because our bodies do alot of things that we can't control. And if you don't buy that argument, you might find it interesting that studies have shown that some female rape victims actually produce vaginal lubrication when they're raped.
Does that mean they wanted to have sex? Fuck no! Anyone can see that. But if it's a man... he wanted sex. All men want sex and if they say that they don't, they're liars.
Something of a double standard there, don't ya think?

3) Speeding tickets - this just flat out pisses me off. A pretty blonde can get away with 120 in a 50 if she gets caught by the right cop, but even the best looking man gets a ticket and maybe even a trip to the courthouse. I blame the cops for being fuckheads, and society as a whole for letting this kind of thing to happen. And it doesn't only apply to speeding tickets...

4) Manners - men are expected to hold doors, to give up umbrellas, and to offer coats in the cold. And girls generally appreciate that kind of thing, as anyone should. But girls are rarely expected to sacrifice for guys. If a girl doesn't hold a door for a guy, she might be called a bitch, but oh, you can't blame her. Well why the fuck not? I enjoy blaming people for anything that's blameworthy. Girls shouldn't be exempt.
And the truth is girls love it when guys are gentlemen, but there's the odd one who will bust out the, "I don't need your help. I'm a woman, hear me roar" type of shit. Just take the good deed for what it's worth. If a girl gave her that coat in the cold, ten-to-one says she wouldn't react the same way.

5) Humour - in my experience, girls can't take jokes as well as guys can. If a guy makes a joke about "bitches" girls might stir up a fuss, but guys don't get bent out of shape when a group of girls jokes about a bunch of "assholes" or "pricks". The odd off-colour joke isn't going to set the women's movement back 20 years darling. Then again, what I mentioned earlier about the subtle ways in which men exert their influence comes into play here. So I might be wrong entirely.

That's all I can think of for now, but if I come up with anything more I'll put it up here. I'll try to find some specifics that women might get pissed off with, but it's harder to do that since I'm a guy with a guy's perspective of the world.

Then again, that's to be expected.

Right?

Bigfoot

I haven't posted in awhile, so I figured I'd give an update.

Exam marks are back and I got murdered on two of em, but the others went well. I'm gonna have to destroy the Pharm/Tox and Physiology finals if I wanna get a decent grade in those courses, but that's still a few weeks off. It's good to be done for awhile, save for a few assignments and an essay.

I've spent the better part of a week now tracking down potential lab or research jobs in London for the summer. I gotta get my foot in the door in my field of school, plus I really don't wanna go back to Barrie this year. I suppose it would be alright cuz my bro would be back home, along with some highschool friends, but I just get frustrated with that town. Last summer was fucking great, with an entertaining job and tons of parties and roadtrips on the weekends. I just feel like this year won't live up to last year, mainly cuz my high-paying job has disappeared back home.

I know at least a few friends will be down in London for the summer as well, so it would be good to stay here and hopefully advance my career in Med Sci somewhat.

In other news, the juggernaut that was Mustang Ale is done for the season in ice hockey. We lost our last game 4-1 in the quarters on Sunday night. Unfortunately I blocked a shot in the first period and had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines. From what I hear it was a stellar play by me, but I was more concerned with getting off the ice than looking back at the play. At the time I left the game we were up 1-0. No wonder we lost the game, our star D-man was gone too early. hahahaha, yeah right...

Even worse than the loss that night is the pain that's screaming through my foot and ankle at all hours. It's at the point that I can't even walk around the house, so yesterday I went to the hospital for X-rays. Fortunately they came back negative (assuming the 25 yr old doctor read them correctly), but that doesn't ease the pain and discomfort I have right now. Considering my problem with swallowing medicine, it looks like I'm gonna have a rough week. I did get a pair of crutches, but they're a pain in the ass to use. My whole foot is kinda purple-lookin at the moment, and even my toes are swollen up like little sausages.

For the record, I happen to like my cankles and sasquatch leg hair.

All of this puts me out of our water-polo game tonight as well. The Wet Dream Team is the name we go by. (That title is the brainchild of Mather and I.) We're in the 2nd round of playoffs, and we should beat our enemy easily tonight. They were weak in the regular season. Really weak.
Kozzy's trying to convince me to come to the game anyway, since I'm the captain of the team. I'm supposed to sign game sheets and shit, but I really don't think it's a big deal if I miss it. Unfortunately my co-captain is M.I.A. as well, which gives Kosmack's idea some pull.
But I really doubt I'll go. It's gonna be a huge hastle to even get to the bus stop, not to mention the pool on campus.

So I dunno how things are gonna work out tomorrow. I've got class from 8:30 am till 10 pm, so there's no real point in coming home. The problem's gonna be getting back and forth between classes. For some stupid reason I have my early class at one end of campus, the next one is at the ass-opposite side of campus, then I gotta race back to the first place for my following class. And these are 10 minute walks for healthy people. So I'm pretty much fucked. Unless my foot magically heals overnight I'm boned.

And tomorrow night is the twins' birthday party as well. If I can't walk for that, I doubt I'll bother going. Who the hell wants to take crutches to a bar? Not me. On the plus side, if I can walk, I'll have an excellent excuse for not hitting the dance floor.

If I can't walk by St. Patty's day, I'll be really pissed. On that occasion I will take crutches to the bar. Maybe I'll get a few pity drinks from friends. Hell, I can dream can't I?

So that's the news for the moment. I'll have more to say about a bunch of shit in the next little while.

Stay tuned.
